Position Overview

The campaign is seeking a designated Campaign Treasurer to fulfill state legal requirements for opening a committee bank account. This role requires strictly one primary task, minimal time commitment, and virtually zero ongoing operational duties.

Suburban Appeal: Perfectly suited for a resident of Mundelein, IL who appreciates Lake County peace and quiet. You only need to brave the traffic (or take the North Central Service line) into Chicago exactly once. After that, you can return to the sanctuary of the suburbs undisturbed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Bank Visit: Visit the campaign's designated bank one (1) time alongside the candidate to open the official campaign bank account and provide a signature for check-signing authorization.
• Check Authorization: Maintain formal signatory authority on the account in the highly unlikely event a check actually requires a signature.

Prohibited / Non-Existent Responsibilities

• No Fundraising or Solicitations: The Treasurer will not manage, collect, or ask for campaign funds.
• Solicitor Avoidance: The Treasurer is actively encouraged to avoid, decline, or ignore any individuals, vendors, or organizations asking the campaign for money or payouts.
• No Accounting / Bookkeeping: You are not responsible for tracking receipts, managing budgets, or handling day-to-day campaign finances.

Key Dates & Timeline

• Start Date: July 28, 2026 (Coincides with the official start of petition signature circulation in Chicago)
• End Date: February 23, 2027 (Chicago Consolidated Primary Election Day)

*Note: The commitment concludes on Primary Election Day, as no runoff election is anticipated.

Qualifications

• First Name Requirement: The applicant's first name must start with the letter "A" (strictly required for continuity with the candidate).
• Identification: Ability to present valid ID at a physical bank branch in Chicago for the single, solitary account setup.
• Boundary Setting: Exceptional ability to comfortably tell people "no," avoid anyone asking for money, and completely ignore funding requests.
