Adam for 47th Ward Alderman, City of Chicago

Adam for 47th Ward

A Working City for Working People.

Adam is running for 47th Ward Alderman because basic existence shouldn't be a struggle, and your local government should work for you. Inspired by the progressive movements reshaping Illinois politics, Adam knows that real, systemic change starts right here at the neighborhood level.

As your Alderman, Adam won't get distracted by grandstanding on federal issues outside of city jurisdiction. Instead, this campaign is laser-focused on the platform of constituent services. We believe that delivering the essentials—safe streets, reliable transit, clean alleys, and affordable housing—is the most effective way to serve the people of Chicago.

The Platform: What an Alderman Can Actually Do

  • Reliable Neighborhood Services: Delivering the basics efficiently. That means aggressive rat abatement, fixing potholes, restoring burnt-out streetlights, and ensuring timely garbage and recycling collection in our alleys.
  • Affordable Housing & Tenant Protections: Using the Alderman's zoning authority to approve and fast-track affordable housing developments in the 47th Ward, while denying permits to corporate landlords who seek to displace working families.
  • Safer Streets & Public Transit: Installing vital traffic-calming measures (like speed bumps, bump-outs, and pedestrian crosswalks), expanding protected bike lanes, and leveraging city resources to improve local CTA bus and train stop infrastructure.
  • Community-Led Democratic Reform: Bringing power back to the residents. Adam will implement Participatory Budgeting, allowing you to directly vote on how the ward's $1.5 million in annual "menu money" is spent on local infrastructure projects.
