Notice of Termination - Brenna Feeney

The Office of Adam Cornelius

Board Governor, Blue Lake Springs

Arnold, California

May 29, 2026

Dear Brenna,

This letter serves as formal notification that your employment and position as Campaign Manager for the Office of Adam Cornelius is terminated, effective immediately.

A successful political campaign relies entirely on trust, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to the values of the community we serve. Unfortunately, your recent conduct has demonstrated a severe departure from these necessary standards.

First, the significant fabrications you presented to potential volunteers—specifically, making bizarre claims about being a witch—were highly inappropriate. This behavior not only caused acute embarrassment for the campaign, but it also alienated the volunteers who are the lifeblood of our grassroots operations. We cannot operate effectively when our leadership exhibits such a lack of candor and professionalism.

Second, and of even greater concern, are your recent disrespectful remarks directed toward the LGBTQ+ community. Our campaign is fundamentally committed to inclusivity, dignity, and respect for every resident of Arnold and Blue Lake Springs. Your comments stand in direct violation of our core values and our zero-tolerance policy against discriminatory rhetoric. We cannot and will not associate this office with behavior that marginalizes any group.

Please coordinate with our office within the next 48 hours regarding the prompt return of all campaign materials, documents, digital assets, and credentials currently in your possession.

Your final compensation, covering all hours worked up to today's date, will be fully processed and issued in accordance with both California and Illinois state statutory requirements. To ensure complete compliance with multi-state labor standards, final disbursement is structured to satisfy the immediate-payment mandate of California Labor Code Section 201, as well as the standard final-compensation provisions governed by the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act (820 ILCS 115/5).

Sincerely,

A~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
